We are a family of six who have called the Swiss mountains home for nearly six years. Our life has been shaped by snow-dusted peaks, quiet valleys, and steady routines. Our oldest son now attends boarding school, and my husband has recently built his own business, travelling often during the week.
I grew up internationally and rarely stayed in one place for long. After six years in the same landscape, something in me longed for a shift — not because life wasn’t beautiful, but because growth often begins beyond comfort.
So this year, I am taking our three younger children to Kenya for 88 days.
There, we will homeschool 1st, 4th, and 6th grade in a different way — through culture, conversation, challenge, and lived experience. My husband and our oldest son will join us during school breaks, so that we can gather again and share this chapter as a whole family.
This blog is where we reflect on what unfolds when a family pauses intentionally, choosing courage, curiosity, and perspective beyond the familiar.
